The Weitlaner Retractor is a specialized self-retaining, finger ring retractor equipped with a cam ratchet lock designed for holding back tissue and maintaining clear exposure of the surgical site. It features curved shanks leading to blades that possess between two and six outward curving prongs (available in sharp or blunt options).

When the instrument is closed, the prongs interdigitate perfectly. As a highly popular surgical tool, it is commonly utilized in basic plastic surgery, large bone and joint procedures, and mastoid surgeries.
